What a Day for the Record Book anonymous March 23 2011, 02:05:36 UTC
Wow! What a great day! You were definately in your element and in heaven. You must have been in awe all day. I laughed out loud when I saw the pics of you posing like Legolas. The river scene you point out where Strider plays dead reminded me of my favorite scene where the elf princess (so sorry, can't remember her name offhand) puts a spell on the river and it wipes out the dark riders in one fell swoop. Love that scene. Great writing and great pictures. Keep 'em coming. I love it. Can't wait to hear about the South Island. Dad

Yup, definitely a good day. I think the river that you're thinking of is in Arrowtown, just outside Queenstown, but it does look pretty close, doesn't it? I think the pictures as Legolas should be burned immediately, but I put them up anyway to show that I'm a good sport. Thanks for the read!

I didn't think you'd ever finish this one. Glad your camera is working out so well. The caliber of friendly people you are spending time with is great to read about. Thanks for an awesome detailed write up.

Hey, did you see the amount of material that I had to work with? I'm allowed to take forever when I'm traveling, so there. Having a lot of fun with these cool people and not getting lonely at all, so that's definitely a bonus. Thanks for sitting through the nerdiness!
