Journey to the South Island - Picton to Abel Tasman

Wow, a lot has happened since Wellington.  I really don’t even know how to start this next post because just thinking of all the things I have to catch up is giving me a bit of a headache.  Oh well, best to start from the beginning, I suppose - the ferry to the South Island.

Oh what fun it is to ride in a casual overland Stray.
I'm loving reading all about the fantastic places you're seeing and meeting great people along the way. Don't worry, the extra weight you were worried about has got to be muscle with all the hiking you're doing. It was great seeing you last night. You looked great and even though I know I'm you're Dad and therefore must be a little biased, just speaking the truth here from a proud papa.

Well well well.
that about covers it. your details, pics and perceptions are like being there and touring with you.i love the small beachy towns like Nelson. I could definately hang there for the summer.Thanks for another amazing series of entries.

You would become a permanent beach fixture of the West Coast. With the big straw hat and everything. The pics really don't do the area justice.
