Collapse again?

I havent been updating much, and now that I look back at it, it isnt just because of the lack of excitment in ffxi as of late, but its the lack of happiness. I havent been happy running things recently, and well, things finally started to change on Sunday, for better or for worse, less than a week after we were to do our first wyrm with Bloodstone ( Read more... )

Honestly, does asking for the big non-rare/ex back ever work? I know of all of one person who gave back a Noble's/Osode when they left a shell (not quit the game, those usually go back to LS)... and my former LS ended up giving my Osode back a few weeks later. And it always comes up whenever a melee/whm/brd quits a shell, "they took their Osode/Noble's with them instead of returning or dropping it, what a shitty person." Lots of people don't like the used items anyways, they want to see "their" Osode drop from Kirin, watch "their" Shining Cloth turn into a Noble's.

It has happened, yes, but usually doesn't happen voluntarily. The last person I know of that quit OS with non-Rare/Ex items was asked to return them - and she did (Herald's Gaiters and a Noble's Tunic).

hehe I think I heard of it happening once on my server. But my LS has a history of building people with full god sets who walk away. Weak leadership I suppose...

Wow Jay that sounds pretty rough. I know exactly what you mean though, being an officer/leader isn't an easy job because you sometimes have to make decisions that aren't always popular. It's also even more difficult when you're criticized for those decisions and you've put a ton of thought into. People aren't perfect, thus LS leaders and officers aren't either but a lot of times people expect you to be perfect and always make the right decisions. Being a leader takes away a lot from the game and you know just as well as I do that there is an innocence that is lost when you start leading people; you aren't just playing a game anymore, you're running a LS ( ... )

2 Osodes and 2 Cloths... thats all you lost? pfff, thats nothing... If you measure failure as a leader by the greedy asshats who leave your LS without returning Osodes/Cloths then I lost 6 Osodes and 1 Cloth for LS. Amature!

lol we had two people out and out quit without returning the Osodes. I don't know why they would do that unless they were selling it to make r/l money. It just didn't make any sense to me at the time, guess it never will. We were told "I worked for it, it's mine and I'm deleting it" and that was that.

Actually thud, you had one aristocrats leave after you were leader and left...>_>.

But yeah Jay..sucks to hear its happening to you. I don't know how you guys do it now, but is it still that you pay for the item or is it the LS's and they "lend" it out? Cause i know when i left, part of my reason for taking it was...well i paid for it. I know there was a lot of gil that i should have gotten that i never did, and at the time, those who were lined up for leaders kinda didn't strike me as people i wanted leading so i know i wasn't in the best of all mind sets.

If it is just lended out, be patient and understanding. Its hard to ask people to give something up, but don't give up, if you are nice and calm, they might give it back
