Dragoncon 2011, part the third
first full day of con. After breakfast, loaded up the truck with yellow ribbon stuff and headed back to dunwoody, martaing back.
first panel was edged weapons part 2 at the Armory track. Mr. Dockery was a bit distracted (his minigun and flamethrower were delivered halfway through the lecture) but it was a good piece on spears, arrows, and other edged projectiles.
Much wandering around occurred, with a side of acquiring food. Didn't find another panel until Akbar's drum circle ettiquette. Went back to the room for mild napping.
Headed back out for Troma's showcase. Lloyd was his various forms of amusing. At one point he couldn't show a trailer he wanted to, as the dvd player displayed "DISC IS DIRTY" all over the screen. This was not news to anyone who has seen a Troma movie.
A little wandering before heading back to await Merry getting off her shift. She came back in full Ursula getup, and we both changed out into our suits. Carried the balcony to the bottom of the Marriott with Sharon and Brit in tow. Said goodnights to Brit as Sharon stuck around being our handler.
Donned our Statler and waldorf masks and stayed for an epic round of posing. Highlights included Felicia Day winding up in our laps as the entire rest of the cast of the Guild watched. Sharon was a godsend, keeping us watered and holding the camera.
Dropped off the chairs and made our way back, racking out.
