Finals, only not.

So, out of the clear blue sky, I wound up getting a gig doing fights for a High School's version of WSS. Wasn't expecting it, but definitely wasn't complaining. Director was a cool boss, kids knew they needed to get it done quick and paid attention accordingly.

I've found that I channel Master Ryan somewhat when working with H.S. kids. Not so much the accent as the attitude. I get the sense that some of these kids had never been referred to by honorifics in their lives, or at least not by someone who wasn't compelled to do so by their day job. I'd like to think that their response was out of a desire to live up to the honorific, rather than fear of what I may be like when no longer polite. I won't deny there being a likely undertone of "I just put a weapon in your hand, Sunshine, you damn well better earn it."

Then I spent a weekend in Florida fighting off a cgi sea monster. Not too many other details of that one before it's released, but it was definitely one of the more pleasant shoots I've ever done. The coast of Dustin gave us gorgeous weather. Had some sunburns and sand scrapes, but overall, not a bad way to spend a business trip.
