This comment is an eerie query. My friend Kevin just told me over the phone yesterday that he was subjected to 'Funky Town' somewhere recently, and that the lyrics reminded him of me. The whole "gonna move to a new town" and all that bit, since I'm in the habit of moving every year or two, and just came to Portland last month.

[Kev, in case you didn't know, "Stumptown" was a name Portland earned waaay back in the day when landowners/developers were clearing acres of trees so fast and leaving a bunch of stumps in their wake].
