A Walk on Vetrans Day

I decided to walk, a euphamistic statement for I have no car
I stolled along the sidewalks in the rain, following
footprints encapsulated- solid in the cement, pressing my feet into them
hopscotch, dodge the rain drops, I’ve walked a block.
My sneakers, squish squash, playing Marco Polo as I
Passed a war vetran like a figurine all
