Ew. I don't get the vampire attraction thing. They are DEAD. Their skin would be cold to the touch, their lips wouldn't be warm and inviting, their cock would be cold - come to think of it, how would they get an erection without blood flow, anyway?  When you would touch them, their flesh would feel inert, no blood flowing beneath it, no pulse. I love how uhm... graphicly you think. I don't think many people get down to the nitty gritty when anlalyzing the whole vampire sex thing but really if sex isn't about the physical details, not sure what is?

In St. Germain, the men have to feed before getting the erection. And then it's hard. He usually just gets the women off (yes, a bit graphic but not that much, she writes well). Now the women vampires, that's a WHOLE other story.

In the Ann Rice universe (I think) vamps don't have sex at all, just the exchange of blood - If not Ann Rice one of the recently created vampire mythology systems

Chelsea Quin Yarbro wrote (is still writing?) the St Germain series. The historical settings were interesting. and the
sex scenes were rather under-descriptive. I never got into
the Ann Rice stories, Nor the current two, True Blood or Twilight. I've been reading Maryjanice Davidson's Betsy
series which is more funny, and lately, much more descriptive
in the bedroom scenes.

Jaz is right. A cold body is Just. No. Fun.

"... how would they get an erection without blood flow, anyway?"

Formaldehyde and a big hypodermic needle.
