In the last week, I read both The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, each in about a day. I've concluded that despite having a good deal more controversial religious ideas, and thus gaining more media (and probably more sales), Da Vinci is just not quite as good a book as Angels & Demons. Here here! i Agree Angels and Demons is better.

A&D is good. The problem for me was that I read it not long after I had been in Rome. So I figured out all the big suspenseful things way before I should have. Like the ending? Yeah, knew it not far into the book. But still, I agree, good book.

While I have yet to finish either, I am working on Davinci and find the writing style to be rather tedious. It's so abbreviated and handed to the reader upon a silver platter. I fear that it may fall into some sort of atypical scheme. And although it feels like 3 am to my body right now, I write this with complete soundness of mind.

Browns story lines and suspense and researching skills are magnificent. But his writing style is amateurish, he basically has so much info to put in he has no style. Still good books.

I was last in my family to read Da Vinci...

...I think we own all the Dan Brown books

Duly noted. The closest Florida gets to hockey is old people shuffleboard. The Tampa Bay Lightning don't count.
