I don't really know how to explain the situation.

Attention from guys is a double edged sword for me. It's great, but it gets me into situations that I haven't realized until now.

I REALLY understand where you're coming from here. The best thing to do in a situation like this is to be happy with yourself. Just be happy with yourself and already know you are all those things, and then it won't come as such a suprise for you when you hear them. Expect to hear those things...and do it with the ultimate knowledge that most guys will say anything they think is going to get them somewhere. I have become a little cynical because I'm prone to falling into the same trap. So my remedy was to just be apathetic and be happy with the way I am. If you want to do something, do it because YOU want to and not because you like the attention you got. It doesn't mean that you're falling into highschool crap...it just means that you're looking for something so much that you're easily distracted. I hope that helps...I am REALLY empathetic to your plight.
