One more thing, I'm sewing some velvetine, it needs to be pressed. I know I sound dumb, but how is this done w/out messing up the fabric?

use any setting that uses the steam on the iron, and put the velvety type fabric face up, then put a fluffy towel over the fabric and iron the towel. That or just a steam iron on any piled fabric. :-)
