If I do that, I'll wait until the first week in September so that it shows up on the 61st anniversary of the message...
That'll also be the bar mitzvah boy's 74th birthday!

Not much to tell.

I was walking up a quaint Park Slope block and just saw it lying on the sidewalk.

For a decades-old document, it was in very good condition; it didn't appear to have spent too much time out in the elements.

One friend suggested googling the bar mitzvah boy to see if it would be possible to e-mail him these days. But I decided to let sleeping dogs lie, and just share the telegram with others on LiveJournal. Telegrams are such an outmoded form of communication; probably a lot of people have never seen one before. This is a good reminder of what its glory days were like...
