Tonight has been an evening of cooking. Earlier, I was making my mom's amazing chicken soup and the apartment smelled wonderful and warm. (Yes, it can smell warm.) Later, McLean and Bethany carved pumpkins, while I stained my fingers dark green cutting up basil and baby spinach to make pesto.
