the masks of October

I decided to add images of some of the masks I like best. These are taken from the website of my work, who I hasten to mention that I plan not to mention by name but love in great fashion, and the masks themselves are St. Lucia Masks, made in Venice, Italy, of paper mache, lacquer, fabric, bells, etc.

Glad you're doing well. At least, it seems like you are.

Whenever I think of selling my car, it's like...who would pay enough so that I could get a nice & super fast bike? 88 Camry that runs like the wind. Then there will be a nasty cold rainy day and I change my mind.

We collect masks, starting to, from places we've been, but so far it's tending toward more artesanal-style. J brought back two leather ones from Italy and we have a very rough Argentinian one, plan to get one from PR next time (clay with pointy features and bright paint/spots). But I still wonder, are they super spendy?

Well, it depends on your meaning of super-spendy. These, after the cost of importing them, are anywhere between $45 and $500. That curly nosed male mask is around $70 in the store, but the black jollie curlie is around $400 and sometimes more depending on what the last shipment cost us.
These are only part of our selection online, but there are a ton more in the store. Email me if you want a link, otherwise, the pictures are really pretty to look at and dream about someday having the disposable income to never think about whether something is actually expensive or not.
