[Kurt remained missing for the rest of the night, and finally wanders in just as the sun is rising. He's able to sneak past Merlin, but the floor creaks a little as he passes Roxie's room. It just might wake her up.]

[Unfortunately for Kurt, Roxie's not as light a sleeper as her ex-husband thought she was, and especially not while she's worried over her roommate. She startles awake at the movement outside, and drags herself out of bed, stumbling to the door in her nightgown.

When she peers out and sees Kurt's tall, lanky frame, she exhales angrily, only partly trying to keep her voice down.]

What the hell!

[He flinches, and looks wide-eyed at her. He looks like a frightened animal, twitchy and skittish, confused--as if he isn't quite sure where he is.]

I'm sorry-- I didn't mean to wake you.

[She holds her ground, hand on her hips, and for a moment she feels almost motherly-until she sees the look on his face in the half-light, and her features soften. Roxie draws a little close and drops her voice.]

It's--fine, Kurt, but where the hell have you been? Me and Blaine and his magician friend, we've been worried sick.
