Seven reasons to go to Roller Derby this Sunday.

So first of all, you should all be going to see the Charm City Roller Girls battle the Long Island Roller Rebels, this Sunday evening (6pm) at Putty Hill Skateland. Reasons? Here you go:

Hell yeah! I usually stand along the wall near the skate rentals. You'll be looking for tall-ish, blonde-ish, rocking the CCRG shirt, making rather a lot of supportive noise, and--since it's a Maulers bout--waving a little Maryland flag. Or you could just ask Betty Beatdown to point me out.

You'll be the one in stripes, right? ;-)

Hey, Splint Eastwood here from London Rollergirls. Hope the bout goes smoothly for you. I'm just going to echo what Slice Andice said, if you're in London at all give us a shout. We're always happy for visitors to skate with us.

6. International exposure: BBC America is filming the bout for a program they are doing on American roller derby. So you can help us look even better to the world at large.

Excellent news, we'll look out for that show.

Hey Splint -- awesome -- I'll be over in mid July and would love to join you guys whilst there.

Just back from the bout (CCRG won, umm 288-16). That's not a typo. I was interviewed by the BBC guy, turns out it's actually BBC for a program to air in the UK -- he didn't know about London ROllergirls, so I told him about you guys, and he said he would at least try to work in a mention . . .
