I was awoken this morning to hear voices from the kitchen. I guessed that it was my Aunt Susan, and went back to sleep. The phone rang at 730, I ignored it and went back to sleep. It rang again at 830, I ignored it - but woke up. I checked the answering machine. There was a message from the first call

Wow, Chuck. I'm so sorry. I watched my dad have a stroke when I was 13. He fortunately made it out okay. It took a while for him to regain his facial movements, but he did and I hope that your father does, too.
