Oh please, you know just as well as I how to remove the DRM restrictions. However, I'll completely agree with you that the iTunes client is fairly slow.

I typically only buy songs off iTMS if I can't find it elsewhere -- it usually ends up being the obscure Romanian tango, and polka.

Hopefully Amazon's prepared for this battle - Microsoft's ...whatever it is .. is doing alright, I suppose but I really don't hear much from their camp.
