Kestrel Taxi service

That's what I provided today after work. A baby kestrel turned up outside our cafeteria this afternoon and was spotted by a couple of lab folks while they were eating lunch. The baby sat just outside the window for a long time, and seemed to be lost. We were worried that it would hop under a car (since the parking lot was just a few feet away)

That's so sweet. We had raptors at the ranch, including a bald eagle nest a mile or so away. They are so gorgeous. I've never seen a baby though.
