So, it seems that gnail is chugging ahead with its new gdocs

I really hate the new gdoc version, I really do. I hate that I can't default to the old version and work with it (it was much more faster and very intuitive for one). I can't stand the A4 format (awkward for my netbook), and just ugh. It seems that there's no way back for the old school gdocs, because for some reason, the one with less features ( Read more... )

wtf?, zoohoo.com, gtfo, gdocs

I have been muttering obscenities at gdocs for about a week now. Thanks for the links, I'll have to check out this zoohoo contraption. Also good to know that gdocs doesn't like to display properly on your netbook, as my laptop's about to give up the ghost and I'm in the market for something smaller to supplement my primary desktop.

I'm used to software releasing newer versions that just move things around and make them prettier, but deleting features? That's just idiocy. Bad Google!

Hope your challenge goes well. I'm looking forward to reading everything after it's posted.

Well, they'll be supporting the older links for as long as they can jazzypom February 4 2011, 16:28:21 UTC
So if you want, you can stick with the original for as long as you can. Which is here. There seems to be an uproar in that people who've come to rely on it for collaborative issues, are finding out that it just doesn't work any more.

The old gdocs feature displays juuuussst fine on my netbook, and if I want to add comments and corrections, I can do it within the document itself instead of to the side. The new format doesn't work with my netbook at all, because I have toggle the screenbar to the side. WTF, google?

zoho writing seems to be okay. It's free, and its what gdocs is trying to get away from. I haven't really used it much, but from the little that I've seen, it's okay.

Hope your challenge goes well. I'm looking forward to reading everything after it's posted.

Same.

I haven't started writing mine yet, but I've got a good idea of what I'm doing with the prompt. Should go quickly, once I've got all the pieces in place.

And on a side note, comics_anon. What the hell, this fandom? The trolls have some serious stamina.

But this one was off the charts. The person had serious misgivings with my misgivings about the Strange/Wong pairing, called me a cunt, and pretty much said that she wanted to beat me up; because that essay I wrote made people stop seeing Wong as a sexual being. Alas, the comm was deleted before I could go over there and get a screencap myself (I got warned). Then I got called a troll (even though I wasn't in the meme, haven't been involved in an anon meme ) and the comm got deleted.

It was a spin off from gogofandom fail (where my name got called over there too, along with the usual invective, from what I've gathered). And someone (another nonny) has put a Wong/Strange prompt in the notgreenorblue fandom, and someone has decided to do work for it

Alas, this wank will run and run and run.

I check in with fail_anon now and then to see if anything serious is brewing. The regular S/T trolling is frankly sad. Time to move on dot org, folks. Ugh. I'll admit to doing some recreational trolling when I was younger, but this kind of dedication is just weird.
