Haven't seen it yet. But I agree about Snape/Alan Rickman (I'm not a huge fan of his acting anyway). Though I'd always assumed they just cast Lily and James to look like a child's dream parents and didn't think it through. And then +10 years or however long it took to get to filming DH. Looking forward to the film when I get the chance:)

I guess. But Lily and James looked old, even from the ... Chamber of Secrets film, was it? In the last film, they'd have been better off with Harry playing his father, since Harry was supposed to be the splitting image of James - except for his mother's green eyes.
Snape/Alan Rickman - bad casting. They could have gone a lot younger.
Enjoy the movie. I think 7a was better in a lot of ways.
If I remember correctly, they originally wanted Tim Roth as Snape, but he turned them down for 'Planet of the Apes' instead.
I still find the rise of Snape Fics after Alan Rickman as Snape in the movies to be amusing. He did lend a certain... air to the character. Hee hee hee.
The most annoying thing in casting to me was Lily. In the books, you always hear about 'Lily's Green Eyes', that Harry has his Mother's green eyes, green eyes, green eyes, green eyes. And the actress has dark brown. Snapes' dying line was suddenly strange and awkward after just having seen Lily with brown eyes. For me,visually, that pulled me out of the movie more than anything else. ^^;;
