Determined to keep track this year. The way I never do.
(Psst! Want to keep up with what I'm reading as I'm actually reading it? I am genuinely keeping my
Goodreads up this year. Updated slightly more often than this post.)
Currently: Carpe Jugulum by Terry Pratchett
Slipped to the back: Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
January
01. Artemis Fowl and The Atlantis Complex, Eoin Colfer - fantastic book. Full, and spoiler-ful, review
here.
02. Wintersmith, Terry Pratchett - I love Tiffany Aching. She's fantastically strong and endlessly interesting and at the same time still a teenager. This was a re-read but I'd apparently forgotten almost everything about the book (which isn't saying anything about the writing or the story - I think it's because I read Wintersmith too quickly the last time) and it was enthralling uncovering the story again.
03. I Shall Wear Midnight, Terry Pratchett. This fucking book. Wow. Endless wow.
04. The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins. Om nom nom, dystopia.
05. Catching Fire, Suzanne Collins.
06. Mockingjay, Suzanne Collins. I will be talking about these three books properly sometime very soon.
February
01. Wyrd Sisters, Terry Pratchett. The last Discworld novel I hadn't read.
02. Witches Abroad, Terry Pratchett. One of my all time favourites.
This was a bad month because I got stuck in Inkheart and lost steam. So I decided to do the Witch re-read I'd been planning.
