A deer hit Lu's car when we were driving through Illinois to Virginia. It was pretty jolting. It ran out at us and basically hit & ran from the driver's side of the car. Are you okay? Is your car fixable?

I am fine although the car is another story. It was basically square-on hit, on the front of my car. everything is smashed in a little bit, one headlight is crunched, there was a chemical smell when I got out, and turning L was really difficult. The insurance is coming today so I will know then if it is fixable. :/

so surreal! I couldn't see the deer after it happened so I hope he got away but I feel worried about him.

thank you- I am totally fine and should have included that in my post. The car on the other hand- not so much. They are towing it tomorrow and then I will know more... I am not encouraged by the large puddles of fluid that have collected under it in the last few days. nor by the general crunched up shape. :(

thank you. it was really really scary, actually. he just jumped out, there was a car to my left and nowhere to go, I slammed the brakes but there was not enough time... I really really don't think he was okay. :(

ugh. It was such a freak thing that I was saying I felt like there must have been some reason for it, some karmic reason, and my friend responded, "Yeah, you were raised Catholic allright." heh.

I had to go RIGHT from that to an art show and I think I was acting pretty loopy and high strung, so good times for everyone else. :)
