it drives me a little bit nuts when people say they are raising money "for breast cancer" or "for child abuse" etc. Of course I know what they mean, but can they not read over something once ( Read more... )

this is good to know. I have been to picassos a couple of times but have not yet tried their hummus...

i still think the Olive Branch (despite wierd hours and spotty service) has the best hummus in town.

Med. Deli and Imports is a close second.

Red cup is okay, but too much garlic (and I say this reluctantly, as a lover of garlic)

Galileo's hummus used to make me weep. bad, bad hummus.

Sauced's hummus I like, but I never go there anymore. It tastes kinda like the stuff I make at home, but with less tahini and the texture's a little rustic.

Sage is pretty good.

Why have i embarked on this 'hummus-ing my way across OKC' jag? I don't know.

I know! I was walking into the kitchen at work, all 'la la la, let's make some delicious lunch! But wait- where's my hummus??' A full search of the area discovered it... in the garbage. It wasn't old or anything. One of the packages was nearly full.

boo.

oh well, I bought some more and it's all good- I am busting out the sharpie and putting some big initials on there.

I know what they mean, but can they not read over something once?

my conclusion, after trying to deal with a group of graduate level writers who want to start a literary magazine, where the leader wants to be 'editor and chief' is no.

people can't read. or write. it's quite sad really.

Ha! Editor AND chief- that is priceless.

Man, if graduate students (in writing?!) can't get it together to proof their own stuff, then I think the rest of us are doomed. :(
