On the lower east side there is this restaurant called Sammy Roumanian's that has been around forever. They are known for having schmatlz (chicken fat) right on the table. Schmaltz on the table!?! Chopped liver (my closet favorite) made at the table? Sounds like heaven! (Too bad I'm still trying to lose weight.)

I was nervous that I would eat way too much-but luckily there was enough chopped liver to get a nice portion, but not so much too overeat!

If you like schmaltz you should definitely try going sometime!
