Also, I was really hoping you'd make it a fixie. Oh well, it looks awesome. How much is a membership at the Bike Kitchen--and does that membership get you unrestricted salvage rights?

A fixie would have been awesome, but I live at the top of a hill (one of the Seven Hells of San Francisco this year!).

Annual membership is $30. Digging righs, $30. I put another $40 in new parts into the bike.

What is a "fixie"

A fixed gear bicycle. It has only one gear and no freewheel meaning that the pedals are directly connected to the wheel. Very popular with the hipsters.

A bit of a shame about the paint; faded as it may be, the original would be quite handsome if not for the spraycan attack. Still, well done!
