MAFLs 3 and 4 went well. Kate and I took 4th (out of 4) both days in Duo. It was a bit disappointing, as we were hoping to get top 2. My lunch

I pick up the wheat bread sandwich, take a bite, and let it slide into my mouth. Inside, the honey ham grinds together with the biting velvet chedder. My eyes roll back. Morsels of fresh onion and green pepper slap my tongue, eventually going down with the aftertaste of oregano lingering for a bit before following.

Had our first forensics trip. We went over to Wartburg and Northern Iowa for the first 2 MAFLs of the year. Kate and I took 3rd in Duo both times, and I took 6th in Prose the second day. The Duo didn't qualify for nationals as there was only 5 Duos the entire weekend, but the Prose qualified me for nationals! Best of all, I got a fantastic one-on- ( Read more... )

Drove over to Indiana to visit my sisters and brother on Saturday morning. It went well. It was good to see them and Grandma Walker. Then Ian and I took off to Memphis on Sunday morning.
