So I just got fired from my job. Not sure whether I should be upset; I suppose I am abit but I was planning on leaving anyway. Would have been better to just quit, but the managers there don't give references anyway so in the long run it really doesn't matter. As far as I know you're supposed to get your vacation pay as soon as you've worked there nonstop for 12 months, but then again, I've never had the most um, legally-minded employers.

Definitely a load offa my mind - not screwed for cash and I didn't like the job anyway. Plus I can justify it with the reason that school/doing homework definitely takes prescedence over a soul crushing minimum wage hell hole job. The rest will work itself out...

hmmmmm as much as I am sympathetic to the loss of employment, your post kind of says "I couldn't keep up with my tim hortons job, and not being able to do my job, i'm upset that they want to stop keeping me in their employ when i'm unable to do my job" :p Your life priorities are your business not your employers.

on that note, good luck getting a new job :D

That is a very good point... all I'm saying is a little tiny bit of slack for one or two weekends shouldn't be too much to ask for when I've busted my ass working there for almost an entire year, especially when I already told them I could only work one shift per week.
