Well, cute either way, but since everyone will tell you that...;)

Especially in MN, you can get away with seasonal beards--full in the winter, trimmed down in the summer.

I mean the following with utmost adoration for your handsome face, but the full beard makes your face look unnecessarily wide. However, both looks are equally hot.
