To vacation or not to vacation?

So the one coworker I am out to at work is getting married in Zihuatanejo, Mexico in January and I have been invited.  Al can't make it.

I really want to go because he is a great friend, but it will be an expensive vacation and most of the time will be spent by myself . . . I will only know two other people there besides the bride and groom.

So do I

hmm....i'd only go if you could be sufficiently happy and enjoy the time spent alone. i'm sure you've become very choosy about what weddings you now attend (some of my friends are now on round 2), and you already know you won't see much of the bride & groom. their time is generally consumed by family and the wedding party, so you can probably skip it with low guilt unless you're itching for some alone time.

Honestly I'd say skip it, It would be great to support your friend but you would be essentually blowing a vacation on something that your 1. luke warm about and 2. aren't going with Albert.
