Oh money, you elusive bastard...

I've realized how hard it is to earn money for college. I mean, you hear figures like 'six thousand dollars' and you sorta think "that's a lot of money. I don't have it. I'll find a way." why are you a dependent if you're paying for everything? The idea of dependent is that your parents give you the money, and thus they have a tax break because of that. If they aren't supporting get rid of the dependent declaration and do fafsa that way.

Also, look for a general scholarship application from your university... usually you can send in one application and they automatically apply you for the ones that fit.

Because I'm not paying for everything. My father still pays for me to eat and sleep when I'm not at school. It's one of the options I've been exploring as well, and I'm excited to pull it off, but it will only work if I can prove that I earn enough income at home to pay rent or provide a service of value to my family. Yeah, I've been looking at this for a while. It's a tricky situation to pull off without lying, and that could get me into some worse trouble.

And I have actually applied through the school, but there was some issue I didn't follow through on. I need to go check up on that.

Thanks for the advice. It's good to know someone actually cares enough to read. Not often do people actually respond to my melancholy posts with advice. I appreciate it.
