I think there are a few qualities I'm starting to realize that some of my friends lack. Self sacrifice, for one. The idea of doing something simple for someone else seems to be really foreign to a lot of people. It's a little disappointing. Few people take the initiative to be that way. Tis a sad thing indeed, but we all have our faults. Some are just more blatant than others.

I try to stick up for people, I guess I'm just not as vocal about it as I should be. It's especially hard when the group is poking fun at someone. Generally I just say nothing or don't join in. I figure people can stick up for themselves if they want to.

I stick up for people when I think they need it, but what most people call sticking up for I consider coddling. I'll support someone, but I won't fight their battles unless I think they can't fight it themselves.
