Apologies for not updating recently. The attacks in London have left me feeling shellshocked, to say the least. Although we knew something would happen, when was quite another thing. It does worry you. I'm not starry enough yet that I don't occasionally get the tube home from gigs (not my own, I hasten to add), or wander around areas of London ( Read more... )

It's good to see you back. I was worrying you had left us. Congratulations on your number one album - I've said you deserved it all along. I'm hoping to catch you on at least one date, provided work doesn't get in the way of course.

I agree with you on the bombings. Although I was in Edinburgh at the time, it still terrified me. I rarely, if ever, catch the tubes myself, but it's still a shocking event.

No, I just took a short break to catch my breath. Admittedly, after only two entries, that could be perceived as permanently disappearing, but no. I'm here to stay, I hope.

Thanks! I'm so chuffed about it. Life is a walking dream right now.

Indeed. I was on a train the other day and I felt so uncomfortable, but I had to push it out of my mind, and think about the tiny chance of it happening to me.

I know what you mean about punishing schedules. We've been touring a lot recently, and doing roadshows and radio gigs too. But it's all new and exciting...now I find myself looking forward to it all, who knows how I'll feel this time next year or in two years.

Things like the London bombing bring you back to earth and make you realise how important perspective is and just to enjoy your life and all the good things while they last. A motto I heard somewhere but I agree with, 'This too will end'.

I guess at least I have the advantage of the bulk of it being when the weather's cooler. I couldn't cope with it this summer, and I'm doing enough with all the festivals.

Do you get any respite, or are you working all summer? I know how you feel, exactly.

Absolutely. We will all die, eventually. But right now, I'm alive.

Performing in summer can be great. But sometimes it does get a little too hot. I end up sneaking in extra bottles of water for makeshift showers (ie. pouring it over myself).

Pretty much all summer. There's TV shows and/or gigs most weeks this summer...which isn't all that bad but it does get repetitive. Being asked to same questions by different interviewers..urgh.

And hope to be for a long time to come no doubt.

I once went to a gig in the height of winter where the band had no less than 30 bottles of water. Way too excessive, to my mind!

I know all about that. Kosovo this, girlfriend that...peh.

How did you get here without me realising? I've added you =D

Have fun on the tour, I'm hoping to try and catch you for a show or two.

I'm stealthy, like an assassin? I'll add you back.

Would love to see you. Let me know when you're turning up.
