Apparently, today is my day for being not so very bright. Among other things: I was watching "The Universe" on History channel, and Michio Kaku was on; I noticed the title of his new book, "Physics of the Impossible" and decided to run out and buy it ( Read more... )

Looked the book up on Amazon and THEY ACTUALLY ARE TARDISES, AREN'T THEY? That's... pretty hysterical.

I love how Michio Kaku is in every televized special about physics ever. He's like the omnipresent Physics Guru.

Keep us posted if it's a good book or not I've read A Brief History of Time as well as A Short History of Nearly Everything and I want some more good theoretical physics books that are still easy to understand for my simple little mind. XD

The Universe in a Nutshell is the slightly easier by Hawking, so you should give that one a whirl.

I'm only 20 pages into Kaku's book, but I'm totally inspired by it so far. Really, really inspired, and I think it's a book every sci fi/fanfic writer would benefit from.

The physics aren't that deep, but it's exactly what we need. (Keeping in mind, obviously, that I'm only a couple dozen pages in. ;) )
