So, one really cute House/Cuddy interaction and lots of sweet House/Wilson scenes. What's not to like? I don't really have much in terms of comments but I really liked the episode...
House Episode 5-17: The Social Contract
- Um, why didn't they react more to the POTW's bloody nose? Guess they were still too stunned by what he said
- Hmm? Auditory processing disability? And shouldn't the wife realize by now that it's useless arguing with her husband?
- Wilson doesn't like monster trucks??!! Ouch!
- LMAO! I love that Kutner compared the guy to Harry Potter! :)
- Hahaha!!! The POTW meets Cuddy! "... with fudge and a cherry on top!" LOL! Imagining Cuddy with 13? Of course, Cuddy would be his top choice. House paged Cuddy just to have her meet the patient. Hmm, Cuddy's 38? (or is she just lying to House?) "So that was your way of saying I look good today?" Hahaha. And, yes, she definitely liked it. :) Good one, House.
- So 13 is not jealous of Cuddy's pistons? Right...
- Hahahaha! Kutner is mooching off Taub for lunch?
- Ohhhh, Wilson is spending time with Taub?
- Interesting theme here: what defines who we are - the thoughts/ideas that flow through our minds or the ones that we allow others to hear/see/etc? Of course, it's not that black and white, but definitely interesting to think about.
- Hahahaha! Wilson got Taub to lie for him? How did House know?
- Oh wow. I can't believe he said that about his daughter. And someone should have hurried her out of the room once he got started.
- So now Taub is a "quadruple agent"? Hahaha. Hmmm, is this true information? Wilson may be really depressed? And the doctor is in Manhattan? Perhaps that explains the setting of an upcoming episode. And if so, that means that this Wilson thing isn't going to be resolved tonight.
- Permanent damage? What is the POTW going to do?
- "Maybe you don't have a very good statistical sample of my walks." Hahaha. ... Oh, that was harsh, Wilson. But, it can't be easy to have House poking his nose into his business all the time.
- "... to a life where I systematically drive away everyone who cares about me?" Sound familiar?
- Yep, Chase, exactly. Why is House going so far to help *this* patient? Hmm - "one friend" and "drives him away too" And Chase gets it. So he's going to help. I love how the old ducklings are still part of House's circle; they each care about him somehow...
- Awww. Wilson came back. And House knows the truth - Wilson's brother? "I am fully capable of lying to you." And even now, House can't give Wilson comforting platitudes ... but he can give his support. Oh, I can't even explain how this is hitting me.
- And the whole thing with the POTW and his wife here. He's not fixed, still blabbing everything -- and every comment hits her hard. And yet: he does love her. That's the absolute truth. But she can't reconcile that with his behavior.
- Hahaha. The MMMBop ringtone always cracks me up.
- Awwww. House is telling trying to tell Wilson it wasn't his fault in his own way ... at least not only his fault. And then the epiphany - and House is pulled away. Wilson understands but is still hurt. Awwww, House looked for Wilson after finishing with the team and was disappointed to have missed the opportunity to be there for Wilson.
- So sad. Wonder what will happen to the POTW's marriage/family.
- Awww, Wilson wants House to come with him to meet his brother. And how House is gentle with Wilson here is so sweet in a way. LOL, Wilson "torturing" himself by overthinking their interaction. And then he asks a yes/no question to make sure House isn't humoring him to play with him. Awww, and then House tells Wilson that it still wouldn't be his fault if things didn't work out. And, awww, House wants to make sure Wilson really likes monster trucks. Great House/Wilson episode!
