she's doing a very brave thing, i think - whatever you say about how she's behaved in the past. it IS important that an independent press exist, and it's also important that violations of federal law are investigated and prosecuted. in other words, she's brave to go to jail and the judge is right to send her.
. . . but that wasn't what doesn't make sense to me. what doesn't make sense is why bob novak is not in prison for violation of federal law. your perjury idea is interesting - a perjury case against who? but it doesn't resolve the central point, which is that bob novak violated federal law, and it's well documented, and he's not in jail . . . and he's a traitor shit for what he did . . .
I'm not sure if she's doing a brave thing or she's realized what Martha Stewart did - that there's no easier way to become a hero to people who previously had qualms with you than by spending some time in a low-security federal government prision. Who's going to criticize David, after all
