Some of you may have heard already about the freaky weather patterns we're having down here in the southern hemisphere - hells, it's happening all over, we're not the only country/continent experiencing extreme weather at the moment.

We've been much luckier here in the city than in the regions - we're just dealing with torrential rain,

That looks rough. We had floods like that in our area 2years ago.

It's a very strange situation - many areas are unaffected but down the road entire towns are on the verge of devastation. We had major floods just over a year ago in the north, in Queensland which destroyed towns and even the state capital Brisbane was badly damaged.

I have to admit I didn't expect it we'd experience similar here in New South Wales but floods are affecting the whole east coast of Australia in many parts now.

drought then floods, sounds like yall have had a bad time of it

Yup yup - from one extreme to the other the last couple of years. It's the farmers and those living in the regions who are facing the real bad time...those of us fortunate enough to live in a city are lucky that we don't bear the brunt of Mother Nature.

Oh I saw you picked up on the farm with all the spider webs - the pictures in our papers here yesterday were CREEEEEEEEEEPY! Something out of a horror movie :S
