The Hunger Games

Wow. I say again. In caps no less. WOW.

I have never read the books and to be honest had only a passing interest in maybe, possibly seeing the film if I got dragged to see it.
A friend of ours had free tickets to see The Hunger Games this past weekend and we hadn't been to the movies in a little while. It was also an excuse to see friends.

Believe it or not, I hadn't heard of the movie nor the books until last Friday while listening to the radio on the way to work. I'm still wondering how I missed all this?

Co-workers gave me the down low, and I'm intrigued. I'll probably buy the books very soon before watching the movie version.

You're not the only one - the movie was my first exposure to the story...which I highly recommend seeing (before or after the books).

Not everyone will agree, the subject matter is pretty divisive, but for me it was such a well-delivered story :)

I really enjoyed the books -- there were some "hiccoughs"/speed-bumps, but overall *great* reading... :o)

I've honestly heard *nothing* but "This was a GREAT translation from page to screen!" comments from folks whose opinions (including you) that I trust quite a bit... I was hoping to see this on my birthday (yesterday) but no one would go with me (or was available to go) so I opted to see it when I could go with someone else who'd read the book(s)... :o)

Glad you loved it! :o)

I highly recommend catching this one on the big screen if you can. If you do see it, I'd be interested in your thoughts :)
