Is it racist for me to think its stupid when white kids listen to a lot of rap? I want to know other people's opinions and then I will tell mine.

i for one am white and love rap. thats all anyone at art school listens to...underground hiphop/rap is the primary elitest artkid music choice. your not artsy or hip until you can partake in a discussion about rappers no one knows.

this argument could basically be made about any genre of music... is a person who listens to nothing but country music an inbred hick? etc. etc. i think that someone who tries to be something they are not (i.e. white kids trying to be black) is rather stupid. there is some really bad rap/hip-hop out there, but there is also a lot of very good rap/hip-hop out there. so i guess it depends on what you listen to and how you listen to it. i also have been listening to a lot of hip-hop since i have been at college.
