So I'm in amherst now, which is about an hour and a half west of boston. It is weird. I can't really explain it, but it feels so different than UO. The library is 26 floors tall. I'll explain more about it later ( Read more... )

do you think you have a shot to see Zinn? Me and Beard were talking about it just the other day. I really hope you can meet him. That's the sort of encounter that changes lives... at least in fiction...

plus, Hoppes would be impressed as fuck.

Also, I was in portland last night and a car full of black thugs pulled up next to me. They were very stereotypical, and I'm pretty sure you and Beard would have gone on a crazed rant if you saw them. This is assuming of course that you were out of hearing range when you did so...

wrong

how long did you spend boston?

boston is nothing like portland. i thought it was super neat when i first moved there. so did sammi. but a city could not be less portland like. i really dont hate the city, its old and that is cool but besides that there is no subculture (something i find very important)---only shopping and sports. if you really really like either of those things then its great.its jsut an overgrown suburb honestly, its really not that cool of a city and the people are generally lame, unoriginal, and have tacky fashion sense. you can experience sooooooo much more in portland than you can in boston. just trust. just trust. if you really want to experience cool stuff go to new york, you can expeirience so many amazing things in that city in just a night.

dont you EVER say boston has more culture and ESPECIALLY more cool than portland!!!!!! EVER!!!!!

i want sammi to back me up here.
