Quarter 2 reading

I have been horrible about posting so this is the second quarter of reading. I'm slightly behind but not far and I hope to have tons of reading done before school begins again.   Alot of the books are rereads or usually reviewed books here so I've skipped reviewing those, all reviews are available upon request though.  Much of the other reading

I love Lois Lowry in general, but The Giver is definitely a favourite of mine. I always feel sad at the conclusion, though as I'm never sure whether or not he makes it [trying to be non-spoilery vague here]. I hope he does, but I don't know. What do you think?

I didn't know that The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was F. Scott. I love The Great Gatsby and Tender is the Night so I'll have to give it a go. What did you think of it? Have you seen the film? If so, opinion, please, as I haven't seen it and don't know whether or not to bother.

My Sister's Keeper was the first Picoult book I read and led to a long and enjoyable winter reading Picoult.

What did you think of Wide Sargasso Sea? It's on my list of books to buy as the title enchants me. Is it worth it?

I read it in 7th grade and had to write an ending or another chapter to the book. I always believed -or wanted to- he made it to the world that he discovered as a Giver and allowed Gabe to live the same way.

I have not seen the film of Benjamin Button though I did want to. The book is actually a short story, only about 40 pages long so I read it in a night. It was worth the read but I really struggled to figure out how they stretched that into a 2 hour movie.

I liked My Sister's Keeper too. I read The Pact last year and when my mom got this one I read it right away. Mom's been reading her ever since, I need some light happy reading after her books.

Wide Sargasso Sea was a nice book. I'd never read Jane Eyre so it bothered me to discuss it in class with the assumption that I'd read it and that put a different taste in my mouth. Perhaps some things that were vague to me might be more obvious if I'd read Bronte first. I'd say it's worth the read. Maybe not to buy, but definitely a library book.
