Something grand

I want to do something grand this summer. I've been thinking of signing up for a sprint triathlon, but I don't know where to get a wetsuit that I can swim in. I would love to go on a trip of some sort, but there are destination and funding limits. I AM running the 10K Wharf to Wharf in July, so that should be fun.

What else? I hunger for

I've been playing with the idea of hiking the John Muir trail. It goes from Yosemite to the top of Mt. Whitney, and can take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks to finish :D it also requires a lot of planning, and a bit of help from people willing to deliver your food to the drop off points. Visiting either Yosemite or Mt. Whitney could be nice too, and would take considerably less time.

Oh, and make it to Comic Con and Anime Expo. I have a Saturday pass to CCI, but I'm holding off on the AX stuff for now.

Visit Canada. As far as international travel goes, it can't be THAT much, can it?

A former coworker of mine used to make it a point to hike the John Muir trail every year or two. He would disappear into the mountains for two weeks and emerge, looking only slightly more Yeti-like than when he first entered.

Sigh, Comic Con! I am not going, which makes me all flavors of sad.

I would love to go to Taiwan or Hawaii again, even for just a week, or drive along the coast down to SoCal and surf along the way. I'm just trying to be a miser and crack down on any unnecessary spending, and I feel that traveling is part of the category, but oh how I yearn for adventure.
