I don't really know how it works, but I apparently can post to my account by IMing the LJ Bot (Frank) which appeared on my buddy list when I added my lj account to my Gaim account.

*shrugs*

I think it's pretty nifty, just because the LJ page always takes forever to load on my computer, so unless I'm really motivated I haven't been posting there.
