My roommate and I were having a conversation about the pettiness of other people,how decisions are motivated so much by politics and things like that, how people never seem to grow up after high school and I was thinking about how in high school I was never like that, because I never talked badly about anyone

I'm in a similar situation. I'm very bitter constantly and have a very pessimistic outlook on everything. I was this way to some extent before I started graduate school, but it has gotten much worse since I've been here. I'm slowly working on it!
