NEW PAIN!

Dec 17, 2008 11:35

Okay... so, anyone I've been talking to recently knows that I've had an ingrown toenail bugging me.

Well, today I got it taken care of.

And the anesthetic just wore off. SON OF A BITCH OW.

Ouch. Toes are so damn sensitive, they hurt like hell even if they get cut a little X(

I know... The pain has diminished significantly since this morning, but it's nowhere near gone.

My sister had to have an operation on her toe for the same reason a few weeks ago ... she was hobbling around for a few days.

Oh, I remember that pain //well//. It took Tylenol 3 to get that bitch to stop screaming.

Now I just use pliers because it hurts less.

Normally, I don't worry too much about it. Unfortunately, when I started working my shoes weren't up to the task and resulted in the toe getting infected... thus... yeah.

Ooooh, been there. Done that. Got the t-shirt.

It's, like. "Oh, well. The needle in my toe for the anesthetic sure hurt, but that wasn't so bad."

*short time later*

"GET TO THE %^&*ING PHARMACY. WIZARD KEN NEEDS FOOD PAINKILLERS BADLY."

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah. Taken quite good care of my toenails ever since! :O

Oh yes, I will DEFINITELY be taking care of my toenails from here on. I found out that I'd been cutting my nails wrong for my whole life...

This was pretty much bound to happen eventually. Thankfully, since I'm a diabetic, I know that getting to the doctor with the first sign of foot pain or abnormal appearance is necessity.

Just the fact that this could have been WORSE is enough for me to endure this pain. ... Doesn't mean I have to like it, though.
