First of all, I apologise for stretching friends lists... Unfortunately, because of spoilers, I can't really efficiently LJ cut this and still keep the spoilers hidden. That being said...

When was the last time Capcom followed its own canon?

And oh god I am SO GLEEFUL about what you said about Agnus and Credo. I've watched the parody play between Agnus and Dante on devil_may_cry_c and I AM IN SO MUCH LOVE. SRSLY. The bit where Dante babbles on about human and Agnus is trying to follow and take notes? Then he tries to gather his shot research papers? I want to hug the big dork. Even if I suspect he'd kill me afterward...

This is, sadly, quite true... It still bugs the heck out of me though. XD

But man, Capcom really hit the bullseye with their characters this time through.

Ooooooo, yes, excellent! Nothing worse than a potentially good game killed by uninteresting or worst, nerve-grating characters.

WHEN DO I GET A PS3 D:

I was starting to think that I was the only one who loved the Agnus "Shakespeare" cutscene. It was hilarios XD

She could have slaughtered the lot of them on her own, even if she HAD handed over the sword to them. They were a pack of mewling kittens with swords before she showed up, and by all indication they were incompetent afterwards. There is absolutely NO reason for her to have done what she did.

I just assumed that she wanted to play with them. Trish loves playing with her prey, especially if it involves screwing with their mind ( ... )

Oh, I absolutely get that she could have been playing with them. My issue was that the game never even touched on it at all. It was really poor writing.

>_> As for her profile on DMC.com, I hadn't seen that. In the game, the profiles and DMC series history give no mention of it whatsoever.

Really, the reason I'm so irritated with the game is that plot-wise it was absolutely beautiful, but even by DMC standards it had plotholes that you could drop a Phantom through. As a standalone game, it would have been perfectly fine, but it's part of a series and it seems to ignore that.

You're absolutely not the only one. I want to frame that scene and hang it on my wall XD

Although I have to admit, I kind of feel sorry for Agnus, because I think Dante is biased against demons (understandably, considering he lost his family because of demons, but still...)

"Humans possess something that demons don’t." I'd guess that "something" is "the ability to love", which demons supposedly lack.

Except they don't. Ok, yeah, most demons (ie the cannonfodder) are pretty much unfeeling bastards. But we have seen several examples of full-blood demons who seemed to genuinely be able to love (Sparda, for Christ's sake! And Trish, and Lucia, and those three demons in the anime! Heck, I'd bet even Agni or Rudra would cry bitter tears if the other brother died).

Plus, violence against defenceless paperwork is just wrong. OMG won't somebody think of science!?!?!
