So Rita...whats up?
Hurricane Rita left me bored :(
So yah, Victoria had a mandatory evacuation. It was kind of strange seeing so few cars. I decided to go around and take a few pictures...but not many (because i was going to do a before and after but rita let me down)
Well the town was completely shut down for 2 days, after that it opened up slowly.
I’m sure this picture might show how empty the town really was(for people who live/lived here), their were no cars here or at HEB
Their were only 2 gas stations open during that 2 day period of downtime (that i saw) and this was one of them.
The other gas station that was open was on main (the cracker barrel)
Now after all the weird looks from people for taking pictures of them getting gas i promptly headed to Atzenhoffer. The entire lot was empty. No cars, they moved them somewhere...still....its crazy. These astro vans were all that was left.
I decided just to take a pic of the showroom protection <3 Victoria:
So yah not too much was going on, it was just really quiet everywhere and with the 8pm curfew we couldn’t go anywhere so i had to hurry. I was going home and was like?!?!

Apparently the old K-mart just gave up and said forget it and knocked a huge hole in itself. It wanted to go out with a bang, but now it just looks retarded :(
Seriously, i think they are tearing it down cause HEB bought the land... Super HEB anyone?
But yah Rita was filled with boredom and laziness. Oh! and food. Lots of food.
I did this for the Austin folks i bet you wanted to know what was going on anyway :P
