Sadly, I heard on NPR the other day that they are trying to make Lost into some sort of franchise like Star Wars or Star Trek. Look out for upcoming movies with plots that make no sense.

Really? I've read that quite to the contrary the series is intended to end with a robust degree of finality that precludes movie spinoffs etc.

I have never ever watched the show...so I don't care either!

Same here. I could NOT get past the pilot episode.

I tried to watch the pilot after picking the show up somewhere in the... third season? The fact that nothing in the pilot had any relevance to anything that I was watching left me bored. I didn't feel I had missed any mythos, story or character development.

It also made me think I hated J.J. Abrams. Until I watched Fringe and his Star Trek take. Turns out I just don't like Lost.

We recorded most of the first season of Fringe, and never watched it - we had too much other stuff...

I was never exposed to Lost. Then this past December, I watched seasons 1-5 during about 2 weeks. I loved it. I had no idea people felt so strongly about the show previous to this.

I love it - but I think you have to have low expectations, be surprised, and not know about how annoying everyone else in the world is about Lost.

Husband, don't really want to pop your bubble - but I don't mind. You really don't have to watch with me. I watched four (?) whole seasons without your cute tush.

There, I've said it :)

Sometimes I don't want mine to watch with me because I want to watch some super cheesy dumb show like "Baby Story" or "18 Kids and Counting" and I don't want to be judged.

Downside of only having one TV.

Absolutely. In my case, like Desi's, I don't want to be judged. Or, in the case of LOST, INTERRUPTED. :)

I kind of prefer watching alone sometimes. Like last night, while he was out. Does N not watch tv?
