Amen. You should have heard a prayer this man said lastnight at the harp and bowl prayer. It was so on what you are talking about here. He prayed against our haughtiness and pride in ourselves, thinking we are better than them. It was so powerful! The point is that Jesus does call us to seek the lost and hurting.
