Do you know to also drink half your body weight in ounces of water? Some people say tea counts, but I still go by water only.
Many times people think they are hungry and you're right, they are bored usually, but they could be needing to drink water. I know doing this helped me and helps me now.
Do celery or carrot or jicama sticks have carbs? We used to use them when we felt a great desire to munch on something. They all have a lot of water content.

Oh Val, I am so happy for you! I've been keeping you in my prayers.

My husband's parents are alcoholics, and although he doesn't drink, he definitely has a sugar addiction like alcoholics. We are currently not eating sweets at our house, and it makes a world of difference in how we both feel. So though I don't know what it's like to go off carbs, I do sympathize in wanting comfort foods!

What kind of carbs does cucumber have? Tomatoes? I find a cucumber & tomato salad is very filling from all the fiber. It's one of my favorite snacks. That and celery like the poster above mentioned. Though I tend to get stomach aches if I eat as much celery as I want.
